We have carefully planned out each day to give you the best possible experience. From exploring historic landmarks to tasting delicious local cuisine, each day is packed with adventure and excitement. Join us as we take you on a journey through some of the most fascinating destinations in the world.
UUpon arrival, you will meet your tour guide at Colombo CMB airport, and you will then travel through the breath taking Sri Lankan countryside to Dambulla city, which serves as the island’s cultural triangle’s central point. En route, you will stop at the Pinnawala Elephant Orphanage, which was initially built to safeguard and care for the wild elephants who were discovered ambling around Sri Lanka’s forested areas. It is always a special moment when the elephants come to bathe at the nearby river.
Thereafter, you’ll enjoy a wonderful cultural village tour while exploring the beautiful countryside. It will start with a Tuk-Tuk ride towards the farmer’s house where you will enjoy the typical sri Lankan country side hospitality. Thereafter, you will have a canoeing boat ride across the lake to capture the beautiful scenery of Sigiriya. Finally it will end with a cart ride through the lush green rural village.
In morning, you may visit Sigiriya Lion Rock. The historic rock fortress of Sigiriya is situated close to Dambulla. On top of this rock, King Kasyapa (477–495 BC) built his palace, which was covered in vibrant frescoes on both sides. Sigiriya, one of the best preserved archeological sites from ancient civilization is now a UNESCO WORLD HERITAGE SITE. In fact, in order to access the top of Sigiriya, you must ascend a succession of constricted staircases. You’ll discover several remarkable frescoes along the way, as well as a pair of colossal lion paws carved from the bedrock.
Afternoon, you may taken to Minneriya/Kaudulla National Park for an evening safari since it is the best time to capture wild animals in their natural habitat. If you’re up for a serious rumble in the jungle, then Minneriya/Kaudulla is your ideal place! But it is also home to herds of deer, bulls, wild boars, and a variety of vivid wildlife. It is always a fantastic experience to watch baby elephants playing with water by the Minneriya Lake. In the evening, if you are interested, you can get treated to an Ayurvedic herbal massage before returning to your cozy hotel. Ayurvedic head massage is said to relieve mental stress and tiredness and to aid in bringing peace and clarity.
In the morning, you may visit the Golden Buddha Statue and the Royal Cave Temple (UNESCO WORLD HERITAGE SITE). The largest and best-preserved cave temple complex in Sri Lanka is found in Dambulla. Since the first century B.C. many kings greatly treasured it. Five cave temples on the rock, which climb 160 meters above the plains below, contain some of the most exceptional and important historical drawings. It would be a fantastic experience if you could climb the rock and take in the magnificent view.
Afterward, you may visit Matale Spice Garden. Next make your way to Kandy, the capital of the last Sinhalese kingdom. It is situated on a plateau surrounded by mountains that are home to bio-diverse rainforests and tea plantations.
Royal Botanical Garden in Sri Lanka attracts millions of tourists and locals each year as the oldest formal garden in Sri Lanka. The Peradeniya Botanical Gardens contain 4000 different flora types. The magnificent orchid collection, the regal palm trees, and the exceptional variety of Sri Lankan, Asian, and foreign foliage are a few of the gardens’ main wonders.
Kandy is a well-renowned historic site, famous for its sacred Buddhist sites, together with the Temple of the Tooth Relic (UNESCO WORLD HERITAGE SITE). You may take your own walk around Kandy’s busy city centre and the lake around in the afternoon, before taking in a cultural dance performance that draws inspiration from Sri Lankan arts, traditional dance, and cultural history.
Bentota is a delightful sandy beach that was a well-kept secret in the past, but now more restaurants and pubs are opening to visitors. It’s a magnificent place characterized by white sands and coconut palms growing right from the edge of the sea as if in imitation of a postcard of a perfect tropical beach.
You will take part in a Madu River boat safari in the afternoon, which provides a number of unique activities like Madu River fish therapy, and a cinnamon island visit.
After that, before heading on to your lovely beach resort you’ll visit a turtle hatchery center where local and international volunteers are fighting to safeguard sea turtles since they are an endangered species. The Wildlife Protection Society examined the area with a Sea Turtle Conservation Project that runs on a significant scale and later recognized this bustling tourist destination.
After breakfast, you’ll visit the capital city of Colombo, which has an interesting history running back to the fifth century. Even in ancient times, this was an important port city in the East-West sea trade. Nowadays it has become a bustling modern town with a unique atmosphere. The colourful streets, restaurants and modern shopping malls attract hordes of locals and tourists alike.
In Colombo, you have the opportunity to visit the most highlighted places in the city and also do some last-minute shopping as well.
